Dr Miriam Lobo

Clinical Psychology in Brighton & Sussex for Adults, Children, Families and Educational Settings

Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my practice.

I am a HCPC-registered Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience working across NHS services, private practice, hospitals, community mental health and educational settings.

I work with adults, children, young people and families, offering psychological assessment, consultation and therapy tailored to individual needs.

My private practice supports adults experiencing difficulties such as stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, mood difficulties, trauma and long-term mental health conditions, as well as those navigating life pressures, relationships and emotional overwhelm.

Alongside this, I work with children and families experiencing emotional, behavioural and developmental difficulties, and have specialist expertise in Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), ADHD and neurodevelopmental differences, including post-diagnostic support across the lifespan.

I also provide consultation and specialist input to schools and educational settings, working with staff teams to support children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural and neurodevelopmental needs.

My approach is evidence-based, collaborative and integrative, drawing on CBT, DBT, systemic and narrative therapies. I aim to provide a calm, thoughtful space where people feel understood and supported, and where meaningful change becomes possible.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and recognised by major private health insurers including Bupa, Aviva, AXA and Cigna.
