Consultation & Supervision

Working with Schools & Educational Settings

I provide consultation, supervision and psychological support to schools, educational settings and multidisciplinary teams working with children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural and neurodevelopmental needs.

Alongside private clinical practice, I have extensive experience working within specialist educational settings for both children and adults, supporting staff teams, professionals and psychologists in understanding and responding to complex presentations in thoughtful, psychologically informed ways.

My long-standing professional interest in special educational needs, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), complex SEN, emotional wellbeing and emotionally based school avoidance has shaped much of this work. I understand the increasing pressures faced by schools and staff teams in supporting young people with additional needs, while also balancing the wider demands of educational environments.

I particularly value working collaboratively with staff to develop integrated and practical approaches that help children and young people feel better understood, supported and able to engage more successfully within education.

My work with schools may include:

  • Psychological consultation around individual pupils

  • Support for complex emotional, behavioural and neurodevelopmental presentations

  • Consultation regarding emotionally based school avoidance

  • Staff supervision and reflective practice

  • SEN and neurodevelopmental consultation

  • Multidisciplinary collaboration

  • Support for psychologists and wider professional teams

  • Training and psychologically informed approaches within schools

My approach is collaborative, reflective and grounded in both clinical and educational experience, with a focus on helping professionals feel more confident, supported and equipped in their work with young people and families.
